Running behind on my posts, but I can't skip Christmas...
Christmas Eve:
During the day we went and saw "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel" with Phill's family to celebrate Grandpa Waken's (Phill's dad) birthday. Following the movie we decided to go visit Great Grandma and Grandpa Waken. Every Christmas Eve the Wakens get together and Great Grandpa reads the Night Before Christmas, and the story of Christ's birth in Luke chapter 2. We decided to go over early so Avery could hear the story. Grandpa read the Night Before Christmas to us while Avery ate a Christmas cookie.
Avery's first cookie! :)

What a mess!

Oh so full!

Later that night we spent time at my parents house with my Mom's side of the family. We ate pizza, had mint brownies for dessert, and all played a movie trivia game called "Pass the Popcorn" - super fun!!
Christmas Day:
Christmas morning we woke up about 7:00, fed Avery and then opened our stockings. Avery opened her first and pulled out heart-shaped hair clips. She liked the colors so much she really didn't have interest in pulling anything else out of her stocking so we pulled them out for her and then she found the good stuff.

Phillip and I enjoyed opening our stockings and eating the goodies from them. We then moved to the tree to open presents. Avery enjoyed drumming on the boxes as oppose to opening them. But once we finally pulled the wrapping paper off her gifts she was excited.

After we had opened our gifts and enjoyed the relaxing morning, we went over the Phill's parents house to open gifts, and following their house we headed over to my parents house, opened gifts, and spent the rest of the day there enjoying our Chrismas feast with Christmas crackers (English tradition), and played more Pass the Popcorn.

Merry Christmas!
